Rip off your customers and viewers so you don't have to take out a business loan like a normal human being. They are leveraging their YouTube status as much as they can, especially to suckers who want to donate 2,000 USD to be on a Facebook group with goals to get 2 million dollars to build a store? I had unsubscribed for awhile, but after a few new comments on this old thread, I did skip around the latest episode. I understand you are trying to look normal for the camera, but being maskless in a high-COVID state where thousands have died, while you are selling 10k+ watches seems kind of tone-deaf.Īgain, let me know what y’all think.and if you haven’t seen the Timepiece Gentleman his channel is definitely worth at least checking out. Even in banks or public areas, they are usually mask-free. Lastly, I’m not a COVID freak, but it bothers me that most of Anthony’s employees, clients and himself never wear a mask. No disrespect, but his audience is definitely more of the “Producer Michael” than “Tim Mosso” crowd as well. I have a ton of respect for “The Timepiece Gentleman” as a person, and his story is amazing, but the entirety of his channel makes me feel automatically more douche-y as a watch enthusiast. The entire behind-the-scenes look at how reselling works, really just proves that steel rolex and sports APs are more about hype than horology. I respect everyone’s individual hustle, but his videos give me “uncut gems” vibes. It’s clear that he has a good understanding of watches, but he seems to be more about the $$$ than the actual watches. In my opinion, this guy is everything I hate about watch collecting. ![]() I have watched almost every video, and was wondering what the reddit watch community thought of him and his channel. You may have also seen him on TikTok or Instagram. His medium is mostly online/social media but they operate a small brick-and-mortar as well. The full investigation of the case is still under the way.So there’s this guy named Anthony Farrer that operates a watch resale business in the DFW area with his business partner Marco. Likewise, Marco later joined in 2018, who was reportedly a young Dallas-based vintage Rolex dealer. Apparently, he is an ex-convict and felon.
